As the denizens of Haradon continue to fight the Saithions and the greatest warriors of Order and Chaos do battle with one another, a great, all-encompassing evil lurks in their midst...

Little did Haradonites know that the ancient demonic spirit Velik and his Corruption had returned.

A mischievous god cast down long ago by his older brothers Khalin, God of Order, and Kolki, Lord of Chaos, Velik aimed to prove that he had the power to take over Haradon for himself, despite the forces of both Order and Chaos. Vanquished by his own brothers before he could do any serious harm, centuries passed, and the legend of Velik and the Corruption was all but forgotten.

But now, with Khalin and Kolki pre-occupied with their own petty squabbles and all of Haradon embroiled in territorial strife, Velik sees an opportunity to return to mortal form and use the world as his twisted, demonic playground once again. Spread by blood infection, the Corruption turns living creatures into mindless, violent automatons that do Velikâs bidding as he feeds upon their souls. Clans all over Haradon, one by one, soon fall to the evil plague.

With all the conflict across the world, no one has yet noticed that the blight and its demonic mastermind had returned. However, not everyone is blind to this looming pestilence. A small band of adventurers, led by a great hero, the Card Dueler, could be the world’s only hope...
